Spok Enhances User Experience and Interoperability With Latest Smartphone Texting App

Spok Mobile can now integrate with third-party mobile applications on the end-user’s device thanks to a newly developed mobile API. New functionality includes secure patient discussions via an EMR app, the ability to push content (images) to a third-party app or cloud-based drive, communication with proprietary hospital apps, and the capability to send invites to the care team for third-party app consultations.
Additional upgrades include an integration with Box, the leading
enterprise software platform for secure content collaboration, enabling
users to easily and securely send documents, photos, and videos stored
in Box via a Spok Mobile message, maintaining complete end-to-end HIPAA
compliance. Version 4.1 also offers an integration with wearable devices
like the Apple Watch™ wrist wearable device, allowing organizations that
use these solutions to further strengthen secure communication options
via the

The 4.1 release also includes user-experience enhancements such as text-size control, profile-picture display control, fingerprint ID access, ability to silence alerts, forward and copy/paste message options, and a new landscape-mode layout.
